Honest about where we are

Where we are and where we are going.

Nexa Legal is in active development and early access. Our practice management OS is live and handling real matters. We are currently onboarding our first founding member firms - UK practices of five to twenty fee earners who want to shape the product and lock in founding member pricing permanently.

We are currently building three things in parallel. First, RAG-powered AI search across matter documents using the Vercel AI SDK and Supabase pgvector. Second, the first UK-specific plugin for Anthropic's Claude for Legal ecosystem - a Renters Rights Act 2025 compliance agent. Third, Nexa Legal Connect, our white-label client portal that law firms deploy under their own brand and domain.

In May 2026, Anthropic launched Claude for Legal - an open-source suite of AI agents, plugins, and connectors for the legal industry. Nexa Legal is building the UK layer of that ecosystem. Our UK-specific plugins will bring Renters Rights Act 2025, UK Employment Law, and Immigration practice intelligence into Claude's global legal AI platform - filling a gap that no other UK legal technology company has yet addressed.

We have ten founding member slots open. Founding firms get Professional plan features, direct access to the CEO, their feedback shapes the product, and their monthly rate is locked permanently at £29 per month regardless of where pricing goes. If your firm wants in - say hello below.

What changes when you switch

An end to context-switching. Intake, matters, drafts, billing - one place. One system that thinks.

Most legal software is built by people who have never billed an hour. Nexa Legal was built alongside practising solicitors in England and Wales - watching how they actually work, not how someone in Silicon Valley imagines they should.

Matter Intelligence

Every matter. Every document. Every deadline. In one place.

Nexa Legal builds a structured matter file for every case - documents, notes, deadlines, and client communications organised automatically. Ask the AI a question about any matter and it searches your actual case files, not the internet. Powered by Claude API and Supabase pgvector RAG.

Billing & Trust

SRA-compliant solicitor accounting - built in, not bolted on.

Nexa Legal includes a purpose-built solicitor client account - pooled client bank account with isolated virtual ledgers per matter, three-way reconciliation, immutable audit trail, and bank statement import. SRA Accounts Rules 2019 compliance is the foundation, not an add-on.

NexaLegal Draft

AI drafting for UK legal documents.

Generate first drafts of UK legal documents - tenancy agreements, ET1 responses, covering letters, client care letters - in your firm's voice. Powered by Claude AI. Every output is a starting point for your solicitor to review, not a finished product.

Tenancy Agreements · ET1 Responses · Client Care Letters

NexaLegal Matter

UK court deadlines. SRA compliance dates. Never missed.

Track HMCTS hearing dates, SRA compliance deadlines, limitation periods, and client matter milestones - all in one calendar. Nexa Legal alerts your team before deadlines arrive.

HMCTS · Limitation Periods · SRA Compliance

NexaLegal Connect

Your firm's client portal. Your brand. Their experience.

Nexa Legal Connect gives your firm a fully branded client portal - deployed at clients.yourfirm.co.uk or embedded in your website. Clients submit documents, track their matter progress in plain English, and message your team securely. No Nexa Legal branding visible to your clients.

Document Submission · Matter Tracking · Secure Messaging

The Nexa Suite

Eight products. One platform. Pick what you need.

Nexa Legal is a platform, not a single product. Each product works standalone or as part of an integrated suite. Start with what your firm needs today and add more as you grow. Every product is built for UK law, UK compliance, and UK data residency.

Claude for Legal · UK Layer

Building the UK layer of Claude for Legal.

In May 2026, Anthropic launched Claude for Legal - an open-source suite of AI plugins, agents, and MCP connectors for the global legal industry. Nexa Legal is building the UK-specific layer of that ecosystem.

The Claude for Legal platform is powerful. But it was built with US legal practice as its primary reference. UK law firms operate under entirely different rules - the SRA Accounts Rules 2019, the Renters Rights Act 2025, HMCTS court procedures, Companies House filings, BAILII case law. Nexa Legal is building the UK plugins, connectors, and agents that bring all of this into Claude's ecosystem.

Pricing

Transparent pricing. No per-user surprises.

Most legal software charges per user per month. A ten-person firm on Clio pays £490 to £990 per month. Nexa Legal charges per firm. Your price does not go up because you hired a new paralegal.

Innovation Partners

Looking for innovation partners.

Nexa Legal is offering a small number of UK law firms the opportunity to become formal innovation partners — shaping the platform from the inside as we build.

This is not a beta trial and there is no cost. We are looking for firms actively practising in one or more of our six current practice areas — Conveyancing, Residential Property and Landlord and Tenant, Immigration, Employment, Family, and Wills and Probate — who want to be part of building the legal technology platform their firm will run on for the next decade.

Innovation partners get direct access to the founding team, early access to every feature before it ships, and a permanent seat at the table when product decisions are made. In return we ask for honest feedback, regular availability, and a genuine commitment to exploring how AI and automation can transform the way your firm works.

We are looking for firms that believe the legal profession is changing — and want to be ahead of it, not catching up to it.

What innovation partners receive

  • Full Professional plan at no cost for the duration of the partnership
  • Direct CEO access and monthly product calls
  • Named as an official Nexa Legal Innovation Partner on the platform and website
  • First access to UK-specific Claude for Legal plugins before public release — starting with the Renters Rights Act 2025 compliance agent, purpose built for Residential Property and Landlord and Tenant practices
  • Practice area intelligence built around your firm's specific workflows across all six areas
  • Input into the product roadmap before features are built — your firm's real workflow problems become our next features

What we ask in return

  • Minimum three month commitment
  • One monthly call with the founding team — no longer than 30 minutes
  • Honest written feedback on features as they ship
  • Willingness to provide a testimonial if the experience warrants it

Who we are looking for

Firms of one to twenty fee earners actively practising in one or more of:

01

Conveyancing

Buying, selling, transfers of title

02

Residential Property & Landlord and Tenant

ASTs, Section 8 possession, deposit disputes, Renters Rights Act 2025 compliance, HMO licensing

03

Immigration

FLR, SET, naturalisation, UKVI applications

04

Employment

ET1 and ET3, ACAS conciliation, unfair dismissal, redundancy

05

Family

Divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, Form E

06

Wills & Probate

Will drafting, grant of probate, estate administration, IHT

A managing partner, COLP, or practice manager who is genuinely curious about what AI can do for their firm — not someone who needs to be convinced that legal technology matters.

Who this is not for

  • ×Firms looking for a finished product with no rough edges
  • ×Firms unwilling to give honest feedback when something does not work
  • ×Firms that need a decision making process longer than two weeks

How Nexa actually started

We'll be honest with you. Nexa Legal didn't start as a product. It started as a favour.

A friend at a litigation firm asked if we could help automate their intake - they were losing hours every week to a process that should have taken minutes. We said yes. Three weeks later we shipped it. Two weeks after that they asked if we could do something about billing.

So we sat with their partners. Actually sat - Tuesday morning, terrible coffee - and watched how they worked. We watched the senior partner click through four tabs to find a client's phone number. We watched a junior solicitor retype the same clause for the fourth time that week. We watched the operations lead reconcile client accounts in a spreadsheet.

That's when it clicked. They didn't need another tool. They needed a platform - one built around how their firm actually thought, not how someone in 2014 imagined a law firm should work.

We've been building it with them ever since. They review every feature before it ships. They tell us when something feels wrong. In return, they get a system shaped around the way they practice.

That's the firm Nexa is built for. Maybe it's yours too.

What we believe

Four things we'll never compromise on.

We're writing these down because you should be able to hold us to them. If we ever slip, we want our partner firms to notice - and say something.

On product

Software should make solicitors more lawyer-like. Not more software-like.

Every workflow in Nexa is mapped to how UK solicitors actually think - case-first, not feature-first. We don't ask you to learn our model. We learn yours.

On AI

AI should show its work. Always.

Every output cites its sources, logs its prompts, saves its drafts. You should be able to defend an AI-assisted document the same way you defend your own writing.

On trust

Your data is yours. So is the door out.

Your matter history exports to standard formats. Your client ledger does too. Our retention bet is on being good - not on making it hard to leave.

On help

Support shouldn't be a ticket queue.

When you call, you talk to someone who understands UK legal practice, SRA compliance, and the reality of running a law firm. We hire that way on purpose.

— if any of this resonates, we'd genuinely like to meet you.

P.S. We answer emails the same day. Mostly.

Founding Member Access

Ten founding member slots.

We are building Nexa Legal alongside the firms that will use it. Founding members get Professional plan features at £29 per month - locked permanently, regardless of where pricing moves. In return we ask for honest feedback, willingness to jump on a call once a month, and the understanding that this is a product being built, not a finished one. If that sounds like your firm - say hello.
